I was born in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in outskirts of Caserta, on March 7th, 1974.

 When I was four and a half I came into a gym for the first time with my father Domenico, my first    teacher. It was on January 19th  in 1979.  

Since that moment Karate has become a full part of my life.

My adolescence has been characterised by some very similar days: school, gym and much sport with my companions such as football, basket, volleyball, table-tennis which I practised before going to gym with my father.

At the age of ten, I felt starting a strong passion for dance music in me

and it marks the beginning of my short but wonderful DJ carrier.

I had to buy, without the benefits of my parents (who disagreed with my idea) all the equipment  I needed to be a great DJ.

So I created, at the age of 15 and with my other three friends, the  "SLEMPA GROUP". We managed to work for three years as animators of parties e dance nights in the best discos in the area collaborating to national broadcastings.A 15 anni   

In 1990 my thriving sport carrier, was before an alternative choice: what did I have to choose, to compete to the tennis Italian Championship or to the Karate one, seeing that they had to be done in the same day?

I chose karate! 

After the first Italian titles of kata and kumite I won my first European Titles in 1991 in Glasgow (Scotland) and in 1992 in Cascais (Portugal).

In 1993 I entered in the Fiamme Gialle., one of the most important military sportive groups

It’s with them that I had the fortune to become a professional man reaching many national and international sportive successes.

I’m gratuated in Motor Sciences at university in Naples where I'll attend a master to became doctor in sport and became a good teacher in my futher's Dojo "ATHLON Maurino".

My next project is the  SOUND KARATE, that is karate with music, my biggest passion. I’d like to show to the whole world how is enjoying and productive the usage of music in the karate world.
