As wellknown Karate is divided in two specialities: KATA and KUMITE
The term “Kata” means “form”, “archetype”, or what represents an ancient and fundamental model containing its own essential codes of structuring. The Kata, for his articulated and deep symbolisms accessible for different degrees of awareness and competence of the apprentice, contains the assembled of the time and history of Karate: probably, in the “forms”, the great Teachers assembled and condensed the combative experiences of their whole life and delivered it as packet of information to their first disciple that he handed down it, in turn, to his successors.
The Kumite or fight it is the most known specialty when it reports us to the Karate. The word “Kumite” it literally means "to unite the hands" or "to unite the techniques", that is to practise the Karate with one or more adversaries. In the kumite one of the most important conditions, to the goals of the safety, it is that in which the fight has to unwind oneself in the observance of the disciplinary and sporting rules, in the full and rigorous control of the actions of attack and defense, also without some consensual agreement among the fighters.
